Kim Stewart is a Lecturer in Social Work and Human Services at the School of Psychology and Wellbeing, University of Southern Queensland (UniSQ). With over two decades of experience as an environmental advocate and community radio producer, followed by 11 years as a social worker, she now bridges academia and grassroots activism to amplify the voices of people with disabilities in community media.

She is affiliated with the Centre for Health Research at UniSQ and serves as Custodian of Ipswich SkillShare Studios.
Kim teaches courses on trauma-informed practice, human rights, cultural safety, and advocacy, while producing the Weaving Wellbeing podcast. Her work emphasizes bridging academic and community platforms to address systemic inequities.
