Kim Hyun

Hyun Kim is a Professor and Associate Head in the Department of Geography & Sustainability at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. His research focuses on Transportation Geography, Geographic Information Science (GIS), and Spatial Optimization, with emphasis on transportation network resilience, socio-economic GIS applications, and health geography. He teaches courses in transportation systems, spatial modeling, and GIS for socio-economic problems. His work integrates quantitative methods like spatial statistics and optimization to address issues such as healthcare disparities, urban transit equity, and network vulnerability.
