Kim Eyre is an Assistant Professor in the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University, specializing in music education. She holds degrees from the University of Toronto (PhD), Zoltán Kodály Pedagogical Institute of Music (Hungary), Holy Names University (California), and Western University (dual Bachelor of Education/Bachelor of Music). Dr. Eyre coordinates Western’s Kodály summer program and has previously taught at Nipissing University and elementary schools in London, ON.

Her research focuses on the identity formation and reformation of pre-service and in-service elementary music teachers, alongside reimagining Kodály-based music education in the Canadian context. She has presented extensively at conferences across Canada and internationally and has instructed Kodály summer programs at Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Alberta. Dr. Eyre previously served as president of both the Kodály Society of Canada and the Kodály Society of Ontario.
