Kevin Woods is Professor of Educational and Child Psychology at the Manchester Institute of Education, University of Manchester. He earned his BSc, PGCE, MSc, and PhD qualifications, focusing on psychological aspects of education.
His research examines psychological assessment methods, intervention strategies, students' assessment experiences, and literacy learning. He has particular expertise in developing assessment tools that identify psychological distress and learning barriers in educational settings.
Professor Woods was awarded the Fellowship of The British Psychological Society in 2016 for his contributions to the field. His current projects investigate educational psychology service provision in England and factors affecting professional retention in helping professions.
