Kevin Robbins

Kevin Robbins is a Professor of Practice and Associate Director at the School of Journalism and Media at The University of Texas at Austin. He joined the faculty in 2012 after a 22-year career in daily newspapers, including roles at The Austin American-Statesman, St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and others. Robbins teaches sports journalism and feature writing, blending his extensive industry experience with academic instruction.

• M.S. in Journalism, Scripps School of Journalism, Ohio University (1995)

Research & Writing: Robbins specializes in sports journalism, feature writing, and golf history. His work has appeared in Texa Monthly, ESPNW, New York Times, and golf-focused publications. He has authored five non-fiction books on golf, including two that won the Herbert Warren Wind International Book Award.
