Prof Kevin Pethe is a Professor and Provost's Chair in Infectious Disease at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, serving as Assistant Dean for Research Development and Operations. His research focuses on chemical biology and antibiotic drug discovery for tuberculosis and mycobacterial diseases, with fundamental contributions to understanding pathogenesis and microbial bioenergetics.

Prof Pethe teaches microbiology, antibiotic drug development, infectious diseases, and pharmacokinetics across the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, College of Science, and College of Engineering. He mentors undergraduate medical students as a personal tutor and chairs the NTU Institutional Biosafety Committee. His prior leadership roles include research investigator at Novartis Institute for Tropical Disease (2004-2011) and head of disease biology & chemical genomics at Institut Pasteur Korea (2013).
As Principal Investigator in the Respiratory & Infectious Diseases research theme, he leads teams that developed clinical-stage drug candidates for tuberculosis. His service includes grant evaluation for Singapore Ministry of Health and French National Research Foundation review panels.
