Kevin J. Porter

Dr. Kevin J. Porter is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he has served since 2002, advancing from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor in 2008. He held the position of Department Chair from 2018 to 2024. His work bridges composition theory, critical theory, and the philosophy of language, mind, and time, with a notable focus on J.R.R. Tolkien and semiotics.
