Kevin Handley is a Lecturer in the Faculty of Health, Sciences and Wellbeing at the University of Sunderland, where he has worked since 2019. He previously spent a decade at Sunderland College delivering the BSc (Hons) Extended BioPharmaceutical Science program for the University of Sunderland. His teaching spans chemistry courses such as MPharm Pharmacy, BSc Biochemistry, and MSc Drug Discovery and Development. He serves as Programme Leader for Pharmaceutical Science with Integrated Foundation Year and Module Leader for multiple courses. A trained organic chemist, he integrates IT tools to enhance pedagogy and holds a PhD in Molecular Toxicology from the University of Newcastle. His research experience includes isotopic labeling of butadiene metabolites and industrial roles at ICI Chemicals and Polymers and Zeneca Central Toxicology.
