Kevin Derr

Kevin Derr serves as Professor of Business Administration and Business Law at Pennsylvania College of Technology, where he has taught since 1990 while directing the Paralegal/Legal Assistant program. A licensed attorney, he maintains active membership in the Lycoming Law Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association.

His educational background includes:

• LL.M. in Commerce and Taxation from Dickinson School of Law
• J.D. from Dickinson School of Law
• B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania

Derr's academic focus centers on practical legal disciplines including Business Law, Tax Law, and Real Estate Law, demonstrated through courses like Estate and Trust Administration, Hospitality Law, and Legal Issues in Information Security. His teaching integrates 6 years of litigation experience covering bankruptcy, commercial law, and family law.

As Paralegal Program Director since 1990, he has supervised over 400 student interns across law firms, government agencies, healthcare providers, and corporate settings, establishing extensive professional placement networks while coordinating senior projects and paralegal practicums.
