Kevin Calabro

Kevin Calabro serves as Keystone Instructor, Principal Lecturer, and Director of the Keystone Program at the University of Maryland. He is also Credit & Placement Team Lead for the NSF-funded Engineering for US All (e4USA) initiative. Affiliated with the A. James Clark School of Engineering, his work focuses on enhancing early engineering education experiences.

Education: BS in Aerospace Engineering and MS in Civil Engineering from University of Maryland.

Research interests include improving student retention and graduation rates in engineering, evidenced by a 12.4% increase in 2-year retention (79.2%) and 18.1% rise in 5-year graduation rates (76.0%) since 2006. Active in initiatives like e4USA's pre-college engineering curriculum development.

Labs/Teams: Leads the Keystone Program and contributes to e4USA national initiative. Supervises ENES100 hovercraft competition and curriculum development projects.

Grants/Awards: Manages NSF funding for e4USA. Recognized through donations like the Banas Family gift supporting Keystone Program resources.
