Robin Hensel is a Teaching Professor in the Fundamentals of Engineering Program at West Virginia University's Statler College of Engineering. With 30+ years of experience, she leads initiatives to enhance first-year engineering education through innovative curriculum design and student support systems.
Her research examines student transition to college, academic success, retention, and diversity in STEM fields. Hensel has served as PI on NSF grants investigating engineering education reform and developed the Academy of Engineering Success program. She actively contributes to the American Society for Engineering Education.
