Professor Kerry Woolfall is a Professor in Health Research Methodology within the Department of Public Health, Policy and Systems at the University of Liverpool's Faculty of Health and Life Sciences. She serves as Head of Public Health Policy and Systems and is an active researcher, educator, and ethics committee member with significant contributions to clinical trials methodology.
Her research focuses on exploring clinicians' and patients' perspectives to inform the design and conduct of health research, particularly in clinical trials without prior consent in emergency and critical care situations. Dr. Woolfall leads several major research initiatives including the CONNECT study on consent methods in pediatric emergency care trials, the ECLiPSE study on emergency treatment for status epilepticus in children, and the METHODICAL study on patient and public involvement in clinical trials.
