Keri Gould

Keri Gould is a Professor and the current Director of Externships, Pro Bono, and Public Service at Washington and Lee University School of Law. Since joining W&L in 2017 as the externship director, she has created programs like the WILF (Working in Law Full-time) Semester and teaches the General Externship course, emphasizing real-world legal practice and community impact.

• Prior Roles: Visiting Professor at Albany Law School, Senior Attorney at New York State Liquor Authority, Assistant Dean for Professional Skills at St. John’s Law School, and Clinical Law Professor at Fordham, Hofstra, and New York Law Schools.
• Background: Practiced with the Legal Aid Society and Mental Hygiene Legal Service, representing marginalized populations.
• Education: JD from American University Washington College of Law; BS in Psychology from Union College.
• Admissions: Bar memberships in New York, Utah (inactive), and U.S. District Courts/Southern, Eastern Districts of New York, and U.S. Supreme Court.
