Kenny A. Hendrickson

Kenny A. Hendrickson serves as an Associate Professor of Public Administration and Social Sciences, and Director of the Master of Public Administration Program at the University of the Virgin Islands (UVI). He is also a Faculty Research Associate in the Eastern Caribbean Center (ECC) and part of the HCDPR Team. His academic background includes a PhD in Urban Studies and Public Affairs from the University of Akron.

His research focuses on disaster recovery governance, public trust in emergency response systems, and the psychological well-being of frontline government workers. Notable projects include investigating U.S. Virgin Islands' disaster resilience funded by the Natural Hazards Center, University of Colorado Boulder. He led a study on post-disaster burnout among government employees and co-developed burnout recovery strategies through webinar initiatives.

Professional affiliations include leadership roles in the Center of Excellence for Housing & Community Development Policy Research and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams such as the HCDPR group involving researchers like Heather K. Way, Vera Walker Hawkins, and Bill O'Dell.
