Kenneth Rogers is an Associate Professor at York University's School of the Arts, Media, Performance & Design (AMPD), specializing in Cinema & Media Arts. He serves as Associate Director of the MBA Program in Arts Media and Entertainment and chairs the advisory board for York @ Cinespace, a film studio partnership with industry leaders. Rogers holds a BS from Emerson College and MA/PhD from New York University (NYU).
His research focuses on cultural policy, media policy, and media industry studies, with emphasis on the social and cultural impacts of art, media technology, and digital media. He is a founder of AMPD's BFA in Media Arts program and contributes to initiatives like Digital Media at the Crossroads (DM@X) and York's Strategic Entrepreneurship Council.
Rogers' work bridges academia and industry through experiential education programs, such as the York @ Cinespace studio offering students hands-on screen industry experiences. He actively participates in policy boards including Toronto’s Film, Television and Digital Media Board.
