Kenneth Lawani is Senior Lecturer in Construction Management at Glasgow Caledonian University's School of Computing, Engineering & Built Environment. His research focuses on construction safety, workforce wellbeing, and technology applications in built environments. Funded projects examine VR safety training, modular construction efficiency, and mental health in construction sectors.
Research interests include occupational safety, AR/VR applications, behavioral safety, and sustainable construction practices. Recent work develops BIM-based safety systems and wearable technologies for worker health monitoring.
Awards include the Institution of Civil Engineers' Parkman Medal (2020) for best journal paper and Jimmie W. Hinze Best Paper Award (2017). Current projects investigate mental health interventions and automation in construction safety protocols.
