Kenneth Berger

Kenneth Berger is an Assistant Professor at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), specifically within the Theory And History Of Art And Design department. He holds a PhD in Modern Culture and Media from Brown University and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Studio Art from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). His research focuses on the intersection of aesthetics and politics in film and visual art, with emphasis on 20th-century avant-garde movements and their influence on contemporary culture.

Before joining RISD, Berger taught at the University of Southern California, UC Irvine, and Otis College of Art and Design. His scholarly work bridges historical avant-gardes and modern creative practices, contributing to discourses on art's political dimensions.
