Kenneth Atuma is a Lecturer in Information Studies at the University of Manchester. He holds a first-class BSc in Library and Information Science from Imo State University (Nigeria) and an MSc in Information Management and Preservation from the University of Glasgow. He is currently completing his PhD in Information Studies at Glasgow, focusing on recordkeeping accountability in Nigeria's public sector.
His research examines knowledge management best practices in public sector organizations, particularly how archives management and information governance can enhance transparency and service delivery. Current investigations address ethical challenges in AI-data system integration, computational archiving techniques, and digital library systems.
He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses including Records and Information Management Practice, Law Information Governance and Compliance, and Strategic Practice in Libraries. As an international accreditation expert, he has evaluated programs in Kazakhstan and serves on the UK Quality Assurance Agency's advisory board for benchmarking librarianship and archives management curricula.
Dr. Atuma holds professional memberships with the International Council on Archives and Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals.
