Dr. Ken Cliff is a Career Development Fellow (Lecturer) in the School of Education at the University of Wollongong (UOW), where he serves as the Head of Teaching and Learning. He holds a PhD in the Sociology of Curriculum and Pedagogy and a B.Ed (Hons I) in Physical and Health Education, both from UOW. His academic leadership includes roles on UOW's Educational Policy and Quality sub-committee, Course Portfolio Development Group, and Faculty Executive Committee.

Research interests focus on Initial Teacher Education (ITE) policy, professional experience in education, and the sociology of curriculum and pedagogy. He publishes in journals such as the Australian Educational Researcher and British Journal of Sociology of Education.
He leads UOW's Teaching Performance Assessment (TPA) team and chairs AITSL program accreditation. His service roles include NSW representative for the Network of Associate Deans of Learning and Teaching, NSW Directors of Professional Experience Chair, and contributor to the NSW Council of Deans of Education.
Teaching responsibilities span Curriculum and Pedagogy, Sociology of Education, and Professional Experience (PEX) leadership across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Past roles include Lecturer at the University of Newcastle (2009–2011) and Academic Program Director for UOW's Bachelor of Primary Education (2019–2023).
