Kelly S. Terry is the Associate Dean for Experiential Learning & Clinical Programs, Ben J. Altheimer Professor of Law, and Director of the Public Service Externship Program and Pro Bono Opportunities at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. She also co-directs the Institute for Law Teaching and Learning, a national organization focused on best practices in law teaching and curriculum design.

Her research focuses on legal education, externship pedagogy, and access to justice. She has authored/co-authored books such as Experiential Education in the Law School Curriculum (2017) and co-edits works on professional identity formation and assessment in legal education. Her recent scholarship addresses innovative approaches to experiential learning and law school curriculum design.
She brings over 12 years of legal practice experience, including roles as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice, Arkansas Attorney General’s Office, and commercial litigation partner. She teaches courses on professionalism and supervises externship programs.
Co-director of the Institute for Law Teaching and Learning (with schools from UA Little Rock, Washburn, and Gonzaga).
