Kelly Sims Gallagher is a Professor of Energy and Environmental Policy and Dean at The Fletcher School, Tufts University. She serves as a Nonresident Scholar in the Sustainability, Climate and Geopolitics Program at the Carnegie Endowment. Additionally, she directs the Climate Policy Lab and the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy at Fletcher. She has held senior policy advisory roles in the Obama Administration and serves on the boards of the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University and the Energy Foundation China.
Research Focus: Gallagher specializes in energy and climate policy, emphasizing how domestic and international policies drive the development and deployment of cleaner, more efficient energy technologies. Her work spans comparative analysis of the U.S. and China, global governance, and sustainable development in regions like East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia.
