Kelly Sauskojus

Kelly Sauskojus is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of English at Clemson University's College of Arts and Humanities, specializing in community-engaged scholarship at the intersection of rhetoric, food systems, and social justice.

Her research integrates Community-Engaged Research, Technical and Professional Writing, and Urban Agriculture with Religious Rhetorics, emphasizing practical applications in food justice and place-based pedagogy. Since 2019, she has co-written over $100,000 in successful grants while actively contributing to Knoxville's urban agriculture nonprofits through produce distribution, community education, and volunteer coordination.

She currently serves on the board of BattleField Farms, a Black-led grassroots urban farm organization, and is developing new community partnerships at Clemson to advance food sovereignty initiatives through grantwriting and participatory action research.
