Kelly Ballard

Dr. Kelly Ballard is an Associate Professor of Education at the School of Education, Mississippi University for Women (MUW). She also serves as the Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Teaching Program and Director of Field Experience.

Her educational background includes:

• B.S. in Elementary Education with emphases in mathematics and English from Mississippi University for Women
• M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi
• Ed.D. in Elementary Education from the University of Mississippi

Dr. Ballard specializes in Elementary Education, Secondary English and Mathematics Education, Curriculum and Instruction, and Assessment. Her research focuses on tools for teaching in today's classroom, cultivating a positive classroom culture, AI in education, and effectively assessing and using assessment data to make instructional decisions. She is particularly interested in the integration of technology and data-driven practices in educational settings.

As the Coordinator of the Master of Arts in Teaching Program and Director of Field Experience, Dr. Ballard oversees teacher preparation and placement. She holds MS Educator Licensure Endorsements in Elementary Education (K-4 and 4-6) and Secondary English and Mathematics (7-12).
