Kellie McInchak

Kellie McInchak is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Performing Arts at Adrian College, where she teaches woodwind methods. With a 22-year career in music education, she also serves as a music educator at Tecumseh Middle School, overseeing multiple bands and color guard programs. She holds a Master’s in Conducting from the American Band College and a Bachelor’s in Music Education from the University of Michigan.

Her research interests focus on music pedagogy, band conducting methodologies, and ensemble performance excellence. She has contributed to music education through roles such as Secretary of the Lenawee County Band Directors’ Association and Co-Chair of the Michigan School Band and Orchestra Association’s Honors Bands.

Her awards include recognition as a finalist for the DTE Energy Foundation Educator of the Year (2019) and induction into the American School Band Directors’ Association (2021). She actively adjudicates clarinet and woodwind performances for MSBOA festivals and has held leadership roles in multiple music education organizations.

Her teaching spans K-12 and university levels, previously including adjunct roles at Spring Arbor University and Siena Heights University. She collaborates with regional bands and ensembles, emphasizing student achievement and community engagement.
