Keith Hampson

Professor Keith Hampson is an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Engineering at QUT, holding roles in the Office of the Executive Dean. He has over 30 years of leadership in industry, government, and research, securing ~$70M in R&D funding. His career includes CEO positions at the Sustainable Built Environment National Research Centre (SBEnrc) and Cooperative Research Centre for Construction Innovation (CRCci).

He holds a PhD (Stanford University), MBA and other advanced degrees from QUT. Research focuses on translating research into practice, digital technology in construction, and strategic procurement. Key awards include Fellowships from the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering and Institution of Engineers Australia.

Notable projects include DAIM frameworks for digital asset management and BIM-GIS integration studies. Grants include CAT1-funded projects on bridge performance sensing, scaffolding lifecycle management, and infrastructure procurement sustainability.

His leadership emphasizes innovation networks and collaborative models, with publications spanning construction management, BIM implementation, and sustainable procurement practices.
