Professor Kay Sambell is a globally recognized academic and independent consultant specializing in Assessment for Learning (AfL) in Higher Education. She currently holds the title of Visiting Professor at both the University of Sunderland and the University of Cumbria. Over two decades, she has pioneered innovations in assessment processes to enhance student learning and evaluation. Her work includes co-leading the Centre for Excellence in Assessment for Learning at Northumbria University and contributing to international conferences focused on rethinking assessment practices. She is the President of the Assessment in Higher Education (AHE) conference series, which drives advancements in AfL.
