Kay Bennett is a Senior Lecturer and Course Lead for the FdSc Assistant Practitioner course at the University of Worcester's School of Health and Wellbeing. She serves as module lead and teaches on various courses within the Health & Wellbeing department. Prior to academia, she practiced as a Learning Disabilities Nurse, maintaining current registration while advocating for marginalized groups.

Her research focuses on improving access to higher education for Black students, addressing systemic inequities through Widening Participation initiatives, and exploring health disparities across marginalized communities. She integrates clinical expertise with educational leadership to promote inclusive healthcare practices.
