Kavit Amin

Kavit Amin is an NIHR Clinical Lecturer in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Manchester, specializing in limb reconstruction and regenerative medicine. His research focuses on developing advanced techniques for amputee care through ex vivo limb perfusion systems and bionic prosthetics.

Research encompasses transplant immunology, machine perfusion technology, and neural interfacing for advanced prosthetics. Amin explores strategies to improve transplant outcomes while developing functional alternatives to vascularized composite allotransplantation.
