Katia Collomp is a Professor in the Department of Sports Science within the Faculty of Science and Technology at the University of Orléans.
Her primary research area is 'Sport, Therapeutics and Doping', with specific interests including:
- Interactions between medicinal substances and physical exercise
- Ergogenic, hormonal and metabolic effects of beta-2 agonists, glucocorticoids, and DHEA during exercise
- Hormonal and metabolic specificities of high-level female athletes as performance/health markers
- Therapeutic management of obesity in women through exercise
- Physiological repercussions of acute and chronic dynamic apnea in sports training
This work is conducted in close collaboration with the Analysis Department of the French Anti-Doping Agency (AFLD), emphasizing her contributions to anti-doping science and performance physiology.
