Kathy Stanley

Kathy Stanley is a Senior Lecturer at the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS), affiliated with the School of Undergraduate Studies. She teaches courses bridging ecology, art, and spirituality, including 'Listening to Earth: Ecology, Art and the Spirit of Place', 'The Art of the Essay', and 'Reading into Writing'.

Kathy’s research focuses on ecopsychology and expressive arts, exploring how ecological identity and creative expression intersect with spiritual guidance. Her recent publication in the Ecopsychology Journal examines the psychological bonds between individuals and their birthplace.

She has received the Collectors Vision International Art Award and exhibited internationally in Luxembourg, Madrid, Milan, and Monaco. Her work has been featured in prominent publications like House and Garden Magazine and Vanity Fair.
