About
Kathryn Schetlick is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Dance at the University of Virginia. Her work interrogates static, singular notions of 'the human' and 'the body' through embodied learning, collaborative scholarship, and movement-based praxis. As an educator and artist, she explores how theatrical spaces—architectural, historical, and affective—shape understandings of humanity.
