Kathryn MacIntosh

Kathryn MacIntosh is a Senior Lecturer in the Biology Department at Cape Breton University (CBU). Her role focuses on laboratory instruction and experiential learning methodologies. She holds a BSc from Dalhousie University, a BEd from Mount Saint Vincent University, and an MSc from Nova Scotia Agricultural College/Dalhousie University.

Research & Teaching: Her Master’s research examined larval striped bass feeding behavior and the role of eye development in prey capture. Her expertise emphasizes experiential learning in education, alongside fish behavior and wildlife parasites. She actively incorporates hands-on learning strategies into her teaching.

Affiliation: CBU is located in Mi’kma’ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaw People.
