Kathleen Ringenbach

Dr. Kathleen Ringenbach is a Professor of Psychology at the University of Massachusetts Global, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. She joined as an adjunct faculty member in 1993 and transitioned to full-time in 2002. Her roles include curriculum development (authoring 13 psychology courses) and leadership (Faculty Assembly President). She holds a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Pennsylvania State University (1994) and prior master’s degrees in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (St. Mary’s University, 1988) and School Psychology (Trinity University, 1984).

Her research focuses on transformational mentoring, media portrayals of social issues (e.g., Golden Rule in children’s TV, partner violence), and workplace dynamics. She has published/presented on topics like competency-based education, job performance measurement, and age stereotypes, with conference involvement at the Western Psychological Association (2017) and Lilly-West Teaching Conference (2016).

Dr. Ringenbach’s professional experience spans academia, military child development training (Edwards Air Force Base, 1996–1997), and consultancy in job selection systems (Landy, Jacobs and Associates, 1990–1994). She specializes in assessment tools, workplace safety, and statistical methodologies for personality measures.
