Katherine Alexander

Katherine Alexander is Associate Professor of Psychology and Associate Dean for Academics at Seton College, College of Mount Saint Vincent. Her research investigates social and psychological factors influencing eating behaviors.

Key focus areas include attachment theory applications to emotional eating, weight-related prejudice, and body image perception. Studies examine how relational dynamics manifest in disordered eating patterns across life stages.

Recent work explores breastfeeding experiences in digital communities and self-efficacy mediators. Alexander employs mixed methods including online surveys and mediation analysis to study psychosocial mechanisms.
