Katharina Wang

Katharina Wang is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Interior Design at Louisiana State University's College of Art & Design. She holds a Bachelor of Interior Design (2017) from LSU and is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture in the School of Architecture. Certified NCIDQ and licensed as a registered interior designer in Louisiana, her professional experience spans five years in commercial architecture and interior design.

Her teaching focuses on real-world design challenges, emphasizing the 'why' behind design decisions. Current courses include ID2770 Color and Illumination and ID2785 Design Communication II. Katharina's design philosophy incorporates diverse cultural perspectives from her upbringing in Europe and New Hampshire, fostering innovative problem-solving.

Professionally, she has managed projects ranging from elementary schools to international hospitality designs, overseeing all phases from schematic design to construction documentation. Her technical expertise includes 3D modeling, rendering, FFE specifications, and client collaboration.
