Kath O'Brien

Dr. Katherine (Kath) O'Brien is a Senior Lecturer at QUT's School of Exercise & Nutrition Sciences, specializing in sport pedagogy, technology-enhanced learning, and officiating development. She holds a PhD from the University of Queensland and has served as a National Coach, State Coaching Panel Chair, and High School Teacher.

She founded the Australian Sport Officiating Summit (ASOS) and QUT Women in Sport Leadership Conference.

Currently supervising research on bone stress in athletes, referee conversational patterns, and primary school physical education perceptions.
