Kate Rowan is a Professor at the University at Buffalo School of Law and serves as Assistant Dean for International and Graduate Programs. She has taught courses at UB since 2013, including Literature and the Law, Interviewing, Counseling, and Negotiating, and Introduction to U.S. Legal Research and Writing for international LLM students.

Her research and teaching focus on legal writing, law and literature, and practical legal skills development. She previously clerked for the Hon. Paul S. Diamond (U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania) and the Hon. Maryanne T. Barry (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit), and practiced commercial litigation at Schnader Harrison Segal and Lewis in Philadelphia.
