Kate Mead

Dr. Kate Mead is an Associate Professor of Communication and Assistant Dean at the School of Communication and Performing Arts at East Texas Baptist University. With a Ph.D. in Communication from Liberty University, her research focuses on digital culture-building techniques in Christian nonprofit organizations.

Dr. Mead advises Lambda Pi Eta (National Communication Honor Society) and Kristos Logos Paideia, a global honor society for Christian communication scholars, and organizes the annual Howard C. Bennett Speech Contest for seniors.

Her career prior to academia involved enhancing communication between organizational departments in nonprofit and corporate settings, and she remains committed to Christian education, integrating faith with academic engagement.
