Kate Benson

Kate Benson is a Lecturer in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Brunel University London, affiliated with the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences. She joined Brunel in 2023 after working on the Police Education Qualifications Framework (PEQF) since its implementation in 2020 as Deputy Head of Delivery.

Her research focuses on professional practice in police education and criminal justice systems, informed by her extensive experience in delivering the PEQF framework. She currently leads curriculum quality initiatives for Level 4 PEQF Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and serves as Module Lead for Degree Holder Entry Programme (Detective) DAB603 Roads and Community Policing.
