Karin Weber

Karin Weber is a researcher at the Institute of Landscape Planning within the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). Her work focuses on landscape planning, disaster risk reduction, and gender-sensitive approaches in natural hazard management.

Karin's research interests span disaster risk reduction, climate adaptation, natural hazards, and gender aspects in environmental policy. She has contributed to projects analyzing flood risk management, climate change governance, and risk communication for migrants.

Her recent publications highlight gender-sensitive planning, social contracts in flood risk systems, and community resilience strategies. She has supervised master's theses on flood risk management in Steyr and Kremsmünster.
