Karin Andrea Stadelmann

Karin Andrea Stadelmann is the Head of the Competence Centre for Education, Training, and Care Across the Lifespan at the Lucerne School of Social Work (HSLU). She holds a Dr. phil in Education Sciences (2023) and a Master of Arts in Social Pedagogy from the University of Zurich. Her roles include Lecturer, Project Manager, and external lecturer at the University of Lucerne. She is also a political leader, serving as a Cantonal Councillor, President of the Education, Training, and Culture Commission (EBKK), and Party President of the Center Party in Lucerne.

Her research focuses on Palliative Care in Social Work, Aging and Generational Management, and Social Pedagogy across the lifespan. Notable projects include 'Begleitung am Lebensende' (dissertation), 'Vision 2030 «Altern in Horw»', and 'Gute Betreuung im Alter'. She has published widely on topics like education for marginalized youth, professional identity in social work, and interdisciplinary elderly care.

Stadelmann is actively involved in policy advocacy, emphasizing healthcare dignity, education reform, and economic sustainability. She chairs the Hospiz Zentralschweiz board and serves on multiple advisory boards, including the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra. Her political priorities include affordable healthcare, innovation in education, and supportive frameworks for SMEs.
