Kaiyang Sun

Dr. Kaiyang (Colin) Sun is a full-time Lecturer and researcher at the University of Adelaide's Department of Management, within the Adelaide Business School, Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics. His research focuses on international management and strategic orientation of family-owned enterprises, emphasizing entrepreneurial orientation, innovation, and sustainability in family SMEs. He holds a PhD from Monash Business School, where his thesis explored familial resources' impact on firm innovation and financial outcomes.

Dr. Sun teaches courses like INTBUS 1000 (International Business Environment) and has received student evaluations for educational excellence. He actively engages in industry partnerships, securing funding for consultancy projects enhancing family business governance and innovation in China. His work bridges academia and practice, aiming to advance both theoretical and practical insights in global family business management.

Notable recognition includes the 2024 Asia Pacific Family Business Symposium award. Ongoing research explores family business dynamics, internationalization strategies, and sustainable practices.
