Henry Shi

Dr Henry Shi serves as a Senior Lecturer at the Adelaide Business School within the Faculty of Arts, Business, Law and Economics at the University of Adelaide. He is affiliated with the Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation, and Innovation Centre and is based at Nexus 10 on the North Terrace campus.

His research focuses on strategic entrepreneurship in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), with particular expertise in internationalisation dynamics and intergenerational family business sustainability. Shi examines how socio-economic contexts shape entrepreneurial innovation and global expansion patterns in SMEs through comparative methodologies, making significant theoretical contributions to understanding family business as an organizational form. His work identifies distinctive mechanisms for sustaining private entrepreneurship across generations within family enterprises.

Dr Shi actively supervises Masters and PhD candidates through the Adelaide Business School, contributing to the research ecosystem of the Entrepreneurship, Commercialisation, and Innovation Centre.
