Kaili Chun is an Assistant Professor at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, specializing in sculpture, ceramics, and installation art. Her work critiques contemporary issues through transformative physical environments. She holds a BA in Architecture from Princeton University (with ceramic studies under Toshiko Takaezu) and an MFA from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. Her practice integrates traditional craftsmanship with modern concepts, notably through apprenticeships with master canoe builder Wright Elemakule Bowman, Sr.
