Professor Kabir Sheikh is a leading academic in global health systems and policy at University College London's Global Business School for Health. With over 20 years of experience across Asia and Africa, his work focuses on equity-oriented, contextually relevant health policy and systems research (HPSR) that generates solutions for health system challenges.
- Education: MBBS from University of Delhi; PhD in Public Health and Policy from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine
His research spans health systems governance, health workforce dynamics, implementation research, and the integration of digital innovations in health systems. He has led seminal work on learning health systems, primary health care reforms, and pandemic response frameworks. His recent grants include projects on urban PHC systems (Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation), global health fellowships (EDCTP), and indigenous health system reimagining (NIHR).
