Dr. Justyna Budzik is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of English Philology, Jagiellonian University, with affiliations at the Institute of American Studies and Polish Diaspora. She holds a PhD in Literary Studies (2011) from Jagiellonian University's Faculty of Polish Studies, with MA and BA degrees in Cultural Studies and Literary Translation from the same institution.

Her publications include monographs like In the Theatre of the World. The Artistic Homelands of Elżbieta Wittlin Lipton (2021) and At Home and Alienated. On the Situation of Polish Writers in Canada (2013), with numerous chapters in collective works and scientific articles in journals like 'Perspektywy kultury' and 'Studia Migracyjne'.
