Justin Hart

Justin Hart is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Texas Tech University, specializing in U.S. Foreign Relations, African-American History, and cultural dimensions of foreign policy. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Rutgers University and a B.A. from Southern Methodist University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

• Teaches U.S. History survey, Cold War history, and graduate courses in U.S. foreign relations.
• Author of Empire of Ideas (2013) and award-winning article on World War II propaganda.
• Recipient of multiple teaching awards, including the President’s Excellence in Teaching Award (2010).

His current research examines President Truman’s Universal Military Training campaign and ongoing presentations at academic conferences like SHAFR.
