Jurgen Bauer

Jurgen Bauer is a Lecturer in the Department of Architecture and Built Environment at South East Technological University (formerly Waterford Institute of Technology). He holds a Diplom-Ingenieur (Architecture) from Braunschweig Technical University and has professional experience in architectural offices across Germany, Switzerland, and Ireland. His research focuses on architectural acoustics, soundscape design, and sustainable urban development, particularly in the context of climate adaptation and resilient design. He coordinates initiatives like the ‘Building Change 2022–2025’ project, which aims to integrate climate resilience into architectural education. Bauer is a chartered member of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI) and the German Chamber of Architects (AKH/AKSH).
