June Tai is a Clinical Professor and Director of the Field Placement Program at the University of Iowa College of Law. She focuses on experiential learning and legal practice skills, supervising students in field placements and teaching contract drafting and skills-based courses informed by her prior legal practice experience.

She co-chairs CLEA’s Externship Committee and contributed to the 2022-23 AALS Conference on Clinical Education planning committee.
Her professional background includes in-house counsel roles at a Fortune 100 company and litigation practice at Bay Area law firms, specializing in complex civil litigation and intellectual property disputes. She provides pro bono patent advice to underserved inventors and has served as a mediator for the Davenport Civil Rights Commission.
