June Lowe

Dr. June Lowe is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Long Island University's School of Nursing. With a career spanning acute care settings, she specializes in Medical-Surgical and Perioperative Nursing, emphasizing individualized patient care through the nursing process and critical thinking.

• Educational Background: DNP from Chamberlain University; BSN & M.S.N. from Chamberlain College of Nursing; Diploma in Nursing from St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Guyana.

Her research interests focus on improving transitions of care and standardized communication in perioperative settings, as evidenced by her poster presentation at Maimonides Medical Center. A member of prestigious organizations like Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and AORN, Dr. Lowe has mentored numerous students and new graduates throughout her career.
